New Profit's signature collaboration with Deloitte has helped nearly 50 innovative nonprofits achieve scale and greater impact over the last 15 years. Our shared values and vision for transformative social impact have been the foundation for a unique and enduring relationship, and we were thrilled to support Deloitte's RightStep Innovation Prize, which was designed to help scale the next cutting edge approach in education.

Our Founder and CEO Vanessa Kirsch joined other CEOs/Founders of Deloitte’s signature nonprofit relationships (City Year, College Summit, Posse Foundation), the five RightStep™ Innovation Prize finalists, and key internal and external education thought leaders for an Innovation Panel and Celebration on April 20th, 2015 at the New York Greenhouse. Vanessa had the honor of facilitating a panel discussion on “Disrupting the conventional sponsorship model and scaling for impact.” See photos from the panel event here.

We congratulate Reasoning Mind for winning the inaugural prize, which includes a $100,000 cash prize and the opportunity to receive $100,000 in pro bono services from Deloitte. Having worked with many Deloitte professionals and case teams over the years, we are well aware of how valuable and transformative such support can be.

We would also like to recognize the other finalist organizations for being selected from among hundreds of entrants:

  • Beyond 12 has developed a robust alumni tracking platform, a facebook student engagement application and a personalized coaching service that helps high schools and colleges across the country ensure that students succeed in college--and beyond. Beyond12 is part of New Profit's Accelerator Program.
