It's been 20 years since Norwegian speed skater Johann Koss competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. In his three events, Johann won three gold medals and set three world records. For some, that might have been the apex of their life achievements. For Johann, it was just the beginning of his path to show the power that play and sport can have on individuals and the world. Johann went on to found Right To Play, a global organization that uses the transformative power of play - playing sports, playing games - to educate and empower children facing adversity.
As an early funder of Right To Play, New Profit is happy to share this video celebrating Johann, Right To Play, and the Olympic spirit on the 20th anniversary of his momentous achievement.
