New Profit is proud to join the Employers of National Service initiative. Employers of National Service highlights the talents of AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumni and connects them with employers that recognize their unique skills.

New Profit is a charter member of Employers of National Service, an initiative announced by President Barack Obama during AmeriCorps’ 20th anniversary celebration at the White House. As an Employer of National Service, we have joined more than 70 leading employers from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to create recruitment, hiring, and advancement opportunities for job seekers who have served in AmeriCorps or the Peace Corps.

National service alumni have experience that provides them with core competencies that are important to us at New Profit. Participating in a program like AmeriCorps, candidates demonstrate that they are service-oriented and resourceful; many are working in resource-constrained organizations and must take initiative and come up with creative solutions to problems. For those who are newer to the workforce, a service experience can set their candidacy apart, by giving them valuable work experience as well as exposure to the social sector and its unique opportunities and challenges.
